Theresa Kiser is a children’s book author in South Carolina. She is published in the religious market and is currently seeking representation for her general market fiction.
Her debut picture book is A Little Catholic’s Book of Liturgical Colors (Holy Heroes, 2019). Her award-winning fantasy series The Manakor Chronicles is for readers ages 10-14 and includes The Firebrand Legacy (Saint Pancratius Press, 2015) and Death Dragon’s Kiss (Saint Pancratius Press, 2017).
Kiser’s awards include Scholastic’s First Person Fiction contest (2005) and the IPPY Gold Medal Award for Best Juvenile Fiction (2016). Her writing has been published in The Catholic Miscellany, The Lettered Olive, Coup D’Etat, The Greenville Journal, and more.
Theresa Kiser is an active PAL member of the Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators, and leader of the SCBWI Greenville, SC Critique Group. She speaks for both youth and adult audiences on writing. She is also available for radio interviews, TV interviews, podcast interviews, speaking engagements, and school visits, and guest blogging.
